About Mairéad McIvor

Mairéad McIvor is an award-winning Film and Television Editor with over 22 years of experience across a range of genres.

Starting her career in the cutting rooms of Dublin and London, she was an assistant editor on films such as Jim Sheridan’s Oscar-nominated films The Boxer and In America as well as Alan Parker’s Angela’s Ashes.

Mairéad received the Irish Film and Television award for best editing for the Brendan Muldowney directed Savage. Her other features include Trafficked (IFTA nomination for best editing), Eamon (IFTA nomination for Best Film), Love Eternal (Critics Circle Award, Dublin Film Festival), Pilgrimage and She’s Missing. Her most recent feature The Cellar premiered at the South by South West Film Festival 2022. She also has extensive experience editing shorts (including the Venice Short Film Festival winner A Woman’s Hair).

Her television work covers documentaries, entertainment, comedy, and drama, including working with Neassa Hardiman on the Bafta-nominated series Tracy Beaker Returns.

Mairéad is on the committee of The Irish Screen Editors and the Irish Film and Television Academy.
